Zhang Jun, a doubles specialist, won numerous international men’s doubles titles with compatriot Zhang Wei, including the Swiss Open (1998), China Open (2001), and Thailand Open (2005).

Zhang has also competed in the Olympic Games, World Championships, and Asian Championships. Similarly, Zhang has competed in the BWF Grand Prix (a series of badminton competitions sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) that comprises two categories, the BWF Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold) since 2007.
