In August 2018, she made disparaging remarks about Denmark’s economic model, claiming that it was infeasible and that something was wrong in Denmark. She’d made several false claims about Denmark. Denmark, on the other hand, ranks higher on indicators of economic freedom, ease of doing business, happiness, and employment. Then Regan’s figures for Danish unemployment were correct only if she included unemployed babies, children, and retirees.
In fact, Denmark had a lower unemployment rate than the United States. According to The Washington Post, she also stated that no one graduates from high school because the government pays students to attend. Direct comparison, on the other hand, is difficult. In fact, less than 60% of college students in the United States complete their coursework in six years, whereas 79 percent of undergraduates in Denmark complete their coursework in six years. The paper then pointed out that this includes students who cannot afford to attend college in the United States.
Regan attempted to clarify her remarks after they were criticized in the US and Danish press. “Just to be clear, I was never implying that conditions in Denmark were in any way comparable to the current tragedy on the ground there in Venezuela,” he said. “I was simply pointing out, using reports from The Atlantic, The Independent, and other publications, that socialism is not the way,” she writes. These sources have since refuted her claim, stating that “our articles do not definitively show that socialism does not work.”
On March 9, 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus, she said Democrats had exploited the crisis for political gain, as Fox Business ran a chyron reading “Coronavirus Impeachment Scam.” “The chorus of hatred directed at the President is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him, and only him, for a virus that originated halfway around the world; this is yet another attempt to impeach the president, and sadly, it appears they care very little about any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake,” Trish said. Fox Business canceled her show after the March 12th broadcast. Variety reported on March 27 that Fox Business had parted ways with her.
