On June 27, 2013, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Trey Burke ninth in the 2013 NBA Draft. He then made a deal with the Utah Jazz for the 14th and 21st overall choices. He and Hardaway Jr. were the first Michigan combination to be taken in the first round of the NBA draft since Juwan Howard and Jalen Rose in 1994.
