Sinead Marie Bernadette O’Connor was born on December 8, 1966, in Glenageary, Dublin, to parents Marie and Sean, along with her four siblings, Eimear, John, Eoin, and Joseph, who is a novelist. Her parents divorced when she was young, and she suffered child abuse at the hands of her mother. At the age of fifteen, she was placed in a reform school for shoplifting. Later, he went to Newton School in Waterford, but he pulled out before graduating.

Being in this new band got her noticed by the music industry.
