Shelden Williams’s Profession & Career

Williams was chosen fifth overall in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. Shelden Williams was selected NBA Rookie of the Month in April 2007. However, in February 2008, the Hawks transferred Williams to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Mike Bibby.

In February 2009, the athlete was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, however, he did not survive long. Six months later, he signed a one-year contract with the Boston Celtics.

Williams signed a one-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets in July 2010. Meanwhile, in February 2011, he was dealt with the New York Knicks. He was a member of the New Jersey Nets during the 2011-2012 NBA season.

It was his final season in the NBA. Shelden Williams appeared in the NBA for nine seasons. In 2012, he signed a one-year contract with the French basketball club Élan Chalon. He was a member of the team for the 2012-13 Euroleague season.

He signed with the Chinese professional basketball team Tianjin Pioneers in October 2013. As a result, he played in the Chinese Basketball Association for two seasons (CBA). Williams announced his retirement from the game in 2015.

Candace Parker and Shelden Williams first met while Parker was on a recruiting tour to Duke University. Williams was already a Duke player, and they got along pretty well. Parker, on the other hand, chose to attend the University of Tennessee. Despite their hectic schedules, they ultimately began dating.
