Robert Keith Horry was born in Harford County, Maryland, on August 25, 1970. Leila Horry and Robert Horry Sr. are the player’s parents. When he was a baby, his parents divorced. His mother relocated to South Carolina following his divorce. Keith grew up in the Alabama town of Andalusia. The player’s father was stationed at Fort Banning, Georgia. He saw his father once a week.

Robert was drafted 11th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 1992 NBA Draft as a small forward. Robert won two NBA Championships with the Houston Rockets in 1994 and 1995. In the NBA Finals, he set a record with seven steals in a single game. The jersey number of the team’s players was number 25. Robert and Matt Bullard traded for Sean Elliott from the Detroit Pistons in 1994. Elliott failed the physical due to kidney difficulties, and the trade was halted.

On August 19, 1996, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns along with Sam Cassell, Chucky Brown, and Mark Bryant. Robert was suspended as a result of his altercation with Danny Ainge.
