Peter Jean-Marie’s Profession & Career

Jean-Marie is a former model from the United States who is now a fashion designer. He is also the CEO of his own apparel line. Coastal Breeze News’ Jodi Pree described him as a “Millenial Mogul in the Making.” As a result, it became a nickname after the introduction of his first venture in 2018. His first Facebook video advertisement has received over 3,800 views.

More specifically, Jean-Marie began modeling at the age of 16 years. He began as a print model and eventually gained popularity on and off social media due to the way he stylized himself. Later, he designed a line of blazers and promoted them on social media. He decided he didn’t want to model for other firms and would instead make and model his own apparel. He also obtained jobs in Naples and Boca Raton.

Then, in 2016, he won a competition at the Miami International Mall by designing a chocolate garment. Later that year, in 2018, he launched the “Dream Big” campaign. It was to run his own firm and provide luxurious things at a reasonable price.

In addition, he grew up watching the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. As a result, modeling was a way for him to be the happy, smiling kid he watched on TV. Vicki Baker ran across him in Charlie McDonald Photography in September 2018. Baker works as a photographer and operations manager there. He then took Baker’s business card and offered to meet her a week later. McDonald ended up taking the photos he used on his website to promote his tie line for free.

More Appreciation

Others took notice of him as well. Frank Rostron is a retired custom shirtmaker whose clients have included the BBC, J.P. Morgan, and GQ. He met Peter Jean-Marie while he was working at his pop-up shop in the Coastland Center mall. Rostron was then impressed by his charisma and enthusiasm for his work. In November, Rostron’s wife interviewed him for her eponymous podcast, “The Jane Bond Show.”

He has also stated that, while he could have launched his brand in Los Angeles or New York City, he felt more at ease returning home to Naples after college and showcasing his talents to his hometown. Southwest Florida has so far welcomed the “Millennial Mogul” with open arms.

Peter’s Working Environment

A sewing machine is in one corner, and a shelf is lined with his ties, many of which are inspired by the tropics and include floral hues and motifs. On the opposite wall, on a dresser, he keeps his passport, diploma, and books he’s reading (he shoots for reading two a month).

Notes of encouragement to himself are posted on the mirror atop the dresser. Fabric scraps and apparel that would not fit on the clothing rack are stored in the drawer, which is jam-packed with his creations. Furthermore, he wishes for customers who purchase his works to be filled with hope.

Additional Information

On November 22-25, 2018, the He Dream Big campaign debuted at Coastland Center. He began with a pop-up shop offering beautiful, hand-crafted neckties made from foreign fabrics, as well as a T-shirt giveaway. “**In the first two days, I autographed and gave away 100 signed boxes to my first 100 customers, generated over $2,000 in sales, and fully sold out of one collection,” he said after the weekend. This is a fantastic start.” His future goals include men’s and women’s fashion lines.

After leaving his retail job a year ago, the enterprising 23-year-old launched his own kiosk at the Coastland Center mall, where he sells his own custom-made ties. He stated that the most difficult aspect of beginning his own fashion business was starting from scratch. Despite the challenges, he maintains an optimistic outlook and aims to be renowned globally, according to NBC-2.

More

Many institutions (option of student club leaders) have invited him to come out and give them a fashion show. The University of Florida is one of them. He gradually began to establish a name for himself by word of mouth. That continued until he graduated from college in April 2018. He worked at Saks Fifth Avenue for a while since he needed to get to work as soon as possible and offer something official to the market. He proceeded to network and learn about the industry there.

On October 4, 2018, he debuted his own tie collection, which sold out in the first month. His customers were mostly young, earning him the moniker “Millennial Mogul” from Jodi Pree of Coastal Breeze News.

Peter Jean Marie, a partner in The Ritz Carlton hotel in Naples, has a passion for fashion, and while attending the International Fine Arts College of Miami, he was perfecting the technique that would soon become his label, Peter Jean Marie. He began small, with just neckties and bow ties, inspired by Ralph Lauren because he did not have enough cash at the time. He wanted to alter that, so he quit his job at Saks Fifth Avenue and began selling his creations through pop-up shops. It was dubbed his “Dream Big Tour.”

Later in life

He achieved great success. Later, he gathered enough funds to create a kiosk business at the Coastland Center Mall, claiming that he wasn’t ready, but that the time had come. From there, he received a phone call from The Ritz Carlton hotel chain that transformed the game. Jean Marie thinks we may expect more after being contacted by a slew of celebrities and athletes. Furthermore, The Ritz Carlton hotel group approached him about carrying several of his ties in its Signature Shops.

Bow ties, neckties, and sport coats with vivid colors and decorations were set to be marketed in Naples in February but were halted owing to the CoronaVirus. However, there is one issue. The designer claims they haven’t made it yet and are stuck at the Asian producers due to the coronavirus.

The neckties he sells are symbolic of the brave pursuit of his dream. Peter overcame his critics, including a former boss, who stated he’d never be a designer. He states:

“‘Look, Peter, you’re not a designer,’ he said. You must sell your products in our stores if you want to be a designer.”

This particular setback became Jean Marie’s fuel. He created his own line of neckties, bow ties, blazers, and sport coats a month later. He then sold them in Naples’ Coastland Center mall. The coronavirus is now the only thing standing in his path. His links are firmly entrenched in China. In response to this, he says:

“Overseas, the government has shut down many enterprises, including those in charge of exporting our items to the United States.” As a result, the dates on which I planned to officially launch my new collection and possibly reveal the big day of the release at the Ritz Carlton have been pushed back.”
