On November 21, 2018, the WBC announced that Nordine would face Rau’shee Warren for the WBC bantamweight title. The fight took place on December 22nd, 2018, at the Barclays Center in New York City. However, the fight was previously canceled. Then, on January 19, 2019, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, he happened between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner. Nordine vs. Inoue took place on November 7th, 2019 in Saitama, Japan as part of the undercard to the Naoya Inoue vs. Nonito Donaire WBSS final at the Saitama Super Arena.

He outpointed Inoue to retain his WBC title, scoring the match’s only knockdown in the third round when he let go of Inoue with a left hook. Despite his inability to completely defeat his opponent, Nordine emerged victoriously.
