While attending Thornhill College in 2001, Nadine Coyle auditioned for the Irish edition of the reality television talent show Popstars. She even was able to obtain a position in the band “Six”.

However, it was later proven that she had lied about her age and was therefore not chosen for the position. The judge of the show then urged Nadine to enter “Popstars: The Rivals”.
