He earned a degree in radio and television production from Pasadena City College. His passion for music led him to work with various bands that toured San Francisco and Los Angeles.

In the films Star Trek: The Next Generation and ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,’ he played Lieutenant Worf, a Klingon Starfleet officer. He was the only character in the Star Trek series to appear in six films.
