Mason Mount joined Chelsea Football Club at the age of six and made his first appearance during the 2013-2014 season. In the under-18 division, he competed as an under-15. During the 2017-2018 season, he played for the under-18 and under-21 teams, scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances.

He signed a four-year contract with Chelsea in July 2017 as a result of his impressive results. On July 24, 2017, Mount was sent on a season-long loan to Vitesse, a Dutch Eredivisie football team.
