LaDainian Tomlinson was chosen by the San Diego Chargers in the 2001 NFL Draft after graduating from college. He served as the Chargers’ first-string running back. He gained more than 1,200 yards on the ground and grabbed more than 50 receptions in the first seven seasons.

Tomlinson logged 1,236 yards on the ground in his first season. He scored 14 touchdowns in four games in 2006. Having scored three goals in three straight games, he is the first to do so. He once more agreed to a three-year contract with the Chargers in 2009.

After eventually leaving the Chargers, Tomlinson ran for 12,490 yards. He was eighth in the NFL’s all-time running leaders at the time. A total of 137 games later, he is the player with the fastest 150th career touchdown.
