Durham formed the band ‘The Seekers with Athol, Bruce, and Keith. In 1963, they signed a deal with W&G Records. In the same year, they recorded two songs, ‘Muddy Water’ and ‘Trombone Frankie.’ The following year, they traveled to the United Kingdom and began to receive consistent bookings through Grade Agency. They released the song ‘I’ll Never Find Another You the same year.

In 1967, they performed in front of 200k people in Melbourne to celebrate their international success. She left the group in 1968 to pursue a solo career.

She reformed her band for the Silver Jubilee Show in 1994. During the Golden Jubilee Tour in 2015, she suffered a stroke and lost her ability to read and write.
