Jeff Bishop was born in Texas and raised there. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He then earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Dallas before joining the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1996. Jeff was a medical ethics and law lecturer at the Peninsula College of Medicine and the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom.
