Who is Ahmed Musa? Ahmed Musa was born in the city of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, on October 14, 1992, to Alhaji Musa and Sarah Moses. He is 28 years old and was born under the sign of Libra. His father was a Muslim from Borno, a state in northern Nigeria. His mother is a Christian from Edo State, and she was his father’s second wife. He is the youngest of four sisters.

Musa and his sisters were adopted by Musa’s mother after his father died. Ahmed spent a lot of time as a young boy playing football, a sport he adored. He attended the GBS Football Academy in 2008, where his abilities drew the attention of Nigerian clubs. Musa joined JUTH FC after a year, where he played 18 games and scored four goals. The following year, in 2010, he joined Kano Pillars, which is where his rise to fame began. His success in the 2009/10 season won him a place in Nigeria’s 2010 WAFU National Cup squad, where he played a key role in the team’s victory.

He was promoted to the senior squad after another outstanding result. Unfortunately, he was unable to participate in the 2010 FIFA World Cup due to an injury. Musa took his talents abroad after the campaign, joining VVV-Venlo of the Dutch Eredivisie. Since he had not yet turned 18, he had to wait a few months before making his debut for the club.

Musa made his professional debut against FC Groningen when he was eighteen years old. Eventually, his team was awarded a penalty kick, which helped his team win on his debut. In 2016, Musa transferred from CSKA Moscow to Leicester City for a club-record fee of £19.5 million. Musa was loaned back to CSKA Moscow for four months in January 2018 to get much-needed game time ahead of his country’s World Cup participation. He had yet to contribute an assist for the club by January 2017, averaging 0.5 main passes, 0.3 crosses, and 1.2 good dribbles per game. On January 30, 2018, he returned to CSKA Moscow on loan for the remainder of the 2017–18 season.

On August 4, 2018, he signed a permanent contract with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. He joined the Kerala blasters on June 17, 2020. At the age of 17, he made his senior team debut against Madagascar on August 5, 2010, in a qualifying match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. In a 2–0 win, he came on as a substitute for John Obi Mikel. In a March 2011 friendly against Kenya, he scored his first goal for the Super Eagles.

He was named to the Nigerian national under-20 football team in April 2011 to represent the country in the 2011 African Youth Championship qualifiers. In August 2011, he competed for Nigeria U20 in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was held in Colombia. He also scored three goals in five games. He was also named to FIFA’s shortlist of ten candidates for the Adidas Golden Ball and was named the best player in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

He was one of four finalists for the Confederation of African Football’s Most Promising Talent Award on December 7, 2011. Following that, he was named to Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored in the Super Eagles’ 4–1 semi-final win over Mali and came on as a substitute in the final against Burkina Faso, as they captured their fifth continental trophy. In total, he appeared in five of the team’s six matches. As the team was eliminated in the group stage of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, he played all three of the team’s matches.
